US hospital deploys enterprise-wide device connectivity infrastructure

Virtua Health, a comprehensive multihospital healthcare system in New Jersey, US, has deployed Nuvon’s Vega system for its enterprise-wide device connectivity needs.The hospital network has adopted Nuvon’s standards-based, open architecture Vega system tol provide connectivity to the Picis Peri-Operative System. The Vega system is designed to provide device connectivity and integration across the healthcare ecosystem with an integrated, scalable, secure and cost-effective web-based platform, Nuvon said. The system will make current and complete medical data available at all times to healthcare providers, to help make the best clinical decisions for the patient.Nuvon supports current and long-term meaningful use criteria and, based upon Vega’s open architecture development environment, enables rapid delivery of solutions, the company added.Virtua Health CIO and vice-president Al Campanella said that Virtua could rely on Nuvon’s Vega System to address device connectivity and patient authentication requirements.
